How can you say that since Putin has made it clear since the 1990s that NATO expansion is his line in the sand? It's the same as the Cuban Missile crisis. He keeps saying that over and over and the US media just says "Putin Crazy Evil looking for world domination." It's clearly projection on their part.
In the 1990’s Putin worked for the Mayor of St. Petersburg.
In the case of the Cuban missile crisis, it turns out that there was an off-ramp. (And you could argue that the Russians did us a favor by insisting that we not invade Cuba.)
Where is the off-ramp in the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine?

Of course this is a war crime. I wish the United States would also learn not to commit war crimes. I am very anti-war. He should not have invaded, but I understand why he felt he had to and the West's role in that. It all could have been avoided. We almost had Nuclear war during the Cuban Missile crisis, but I think we have a better chance now.
”I am very anti domestic violence. He shouldn’t have beat up his girlfriend, but I understand why he felt he had to when that other guy looked at her like that. It could have all have been avoided.”

Seems like an abusive relationship don’t it? After all she gave him he still slaps her around. Now she wants to leave him he’s going to kill her. When she was trying to get a restraining order against the bastard, he coerced the court to delay it…. Classic domestic abuse case!

Right, substitute Russia for Putin. I think you know that's what I meant.

The off ramp was the Kennedys saved us with diplomacy while the CIA wanted to invade Cuba (and some think that's why Kennedy was killed but lets not get into that). Now even the Democrats are neocons so not looking good. Hopefully, this gets worked out, but the negotiations are tense. It's hard to know who to believe on that. This guy has some interesting views on the conflict and he posts a daily update. One more source, since you can't trust anyone. He has some interesting comments on Russians at war versus Americans at war.

Do you ever vet these sources? Critical and informed understanding of the news and of news sources is important. "This guy" who "has some interesting views on the conflict" is also this guy -
- and also -
https://twitter.com/AMercouris?s=20&t=Mhle00AkufQRhy0MaKvCkw
- a prolific Putin apologist.
This is not an exhaustive list of references.

I knew you would come up with something to discredit him instead of listening. And appearing on Fault Lines radio or supporting Julian Assange does not make a person a "Putin Apologist" although you will surely wax apoplectic. He does not sound like a Putin apologist in the videos. He sounds like someone who has a strong background on this topic and has strong opinions. He brings up details I have not heard elsewhere such as military war tactics. I don't listen to things and just believe them. I am always skeptical as you should be too. I listen to many different sources and you might try that as well. Not holding my breath.

No, but her favorite documentary has Vlad and Yanukovich as "experts" - they're legit - right?
Biden sucking up to "dictator" Maduro for oil after declaring the president Juan Guido, could not make for a better comedy. Jimmy Dore has a field day, ". . .cue the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme music."

Yes, but don't we use cue as an American form? Opps, right cue, not que -- I will fix it.
There might be a video out there with Jimmy talking to JFK jr and Charles Manson in area 51

Once again, Jimmy Dore is the voice of reason. Anyone who tells the truth about war gets smeared. But now the ladies on The View calls for them to be investigated, arrested and shunned from society.

Interesting how there are so many posts about how Putin forbids free speech. And the same people cheer on calls to forbid free speech here.
Same group hears Zelensky call for World War III and cheers when he gets nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Who's calling for forbidding free speech??? Speak all you want, but be ready for challenge and ridicule which is, in it's own right, another form of free speech.
As for Zalenskyy (please spell it right !), he does NOT deserve the Peace Prize, but sainthood may be on the table.
Who is calling for ww111?
Who is actually starting it? Violence begets violence…you invade a sovereign nation you will see violence. You invade a sovereign nation and expect people there to just bow down to you?
communism is for primates, we have evolved. Phuk communism and it’s adherents. Really
Exactly no one here is calling for limits on speech.
But I will tell you who is DEAD **** SILENT about the free speech limits being placed on people in Russia including journalists and protesters: the local Be About Russia contingent which includes you.
Why is that Nan?

There are lots of limits on free speech in our country and you know who calls for them: Democrats! Watch the Jimmy Dore video above for details.
Maybe if we had better relations with Russia we could have a talk with Putin about his free speech policy. But instead we choose to make Ukraine a client state and had them fight a proxy war with Russia which is now moving up to WWIII. We should be focused on a diplomatic solution before we all blow up. Priorities.
Meanwhile we are just busy like this:

Someone saying something stupid on "The View" is just like Putin making it a crime to call his invasion a "war". Of course.
Nan sounds like a Russian spy who has infiltrated the Republican Party.

And what about Zelsensky banning his opposition parties? That's worse than banning the word war.

Putin has done a lot more than just "banning the word war". If you're not aware of that, you need better sources of information.
The fact that there are opposition parties in Ukraine that favored Russia is itself a refutation of the lies about Ukraine that support Putin's "rationale".
Ukrainian cities are being hit by Russian missiles, people are being starved by Russian troops, and annihilation is being threatened by Russian nuclear weapons. I'm not going to focus on the suspending of the actions of a "pro-Russian" group in Ukraine while all of that is going on.

"Watch the Jimmy Dore video for details on how Putin's free speech limits aren't as bad as ours" is sort of a self-refuting rebuttal.

The Ukrainian parties that were banned include left-wing, Socialist and anti-war parties. They are called "pro-Russia" by western media. The Ukraine parties that were not banned include the ones led by Nazis. The Ukrainian cities in the Donbas are being bombed by the Ukrainians.
But of course you think censorship and bombing is fine when it's done by the Ukrainians.
And how about that Azov Battalion? Are you a fan?
