Stadium was electric today. Still not sure exactly what we've got here, but I'm definitely enjoying it so far.
Give a nod to Jets for convincing win over Pack in Green Bay. D and running game were monstrous.

Biggest difference just seems to be finding a way to win, rather than lose as has been the case for the last few years. So many close losses, but not this year so far!
A stronger coaching team, and some early success. This builds confidence, and continued success.
In a sense, this is a Giants team of yesteryear. Don't give up too many points, and wait for a turnover or two.

…but don’t wait too long.
Damn, I don't think I can remember when both teams won on two consecutive weekends!
I can barely contain myself!

Me neither. When I used to bet on games, I always bet two ways:
Giants win/Jets loss & Jets win/Giants loss
If I selected the right two other games to fill in the ticket, it became a gimme.
Well that sure wasn't the prettiest, but it's road dub. Gettin' it done.

Both win again.
Richie's fumbles obviously hurt. But then the Seahawks gave us a few, as well. For me, big issue was Giants had one TD drive, of 2 yards. The offense was a no show, but for Andrew Thomas's continued Pro Bowl play. Hoping a complete game awaits vs. Houston in 2 weeks.
The Giants had been squeaking out wins by a TD or less. It was bound to catch up with them. The next two games are very winnable before the rematch with the Cowboys.
I had expected the the Giant's O would struggle yesterday. Seattle is the loudest outdoor stadium in the NFL, and I figured that would disrupt the Giants' ability to get off the ball, and would cause few false starts. It did both of those things. Having said that, the team is likely to have a tough slog the rest of the way on offense anyway. Their WR group is probably the worst in the NFL. Too many drops, and too many passes where they aren't coming back to the ball or boxing out a defender. With a good bunch of receivers Jones would be completing a lot more passes. And maybe be able to get the ball deep a few times a game.

Slayton is ok as a #3. It's a problem if he's your #1. Johnson shouldn't be on the field. P.S. I'm a Jets fan. I found it hilarious when Jones missed the TE on a long pass and Sanchez said,"You have to make that throw."
Jet fan here too. Wilson ain't gonna be the thing. Some young QBs may fail for lack of confidence but he's one who will fail for overconfidence. He think he's still at BYU feasting on the no name teams that made him look good. Throwing while back peddling with no leverage. Sheesh. Also throws into coverage a LOT and gets away with it most of the time. Never consistently accurate. He's great at crazy scrambling out of the pocket but I'd much rather him have the subtle pocket sense of a Brady. Learn when and how where to to take a couple of steps UP into the pocket rather than running like a crazy chicken sideways and back.

Sanchez might have realized from his pre-game work that Cager only signed as a TE with the Giants a couple of weeks ago for their practice squad, and was only elevated to the active roster on Saturday. I was figuring Jones doesn't yet have a good feel for Cager's speed or how he runs routes. How many passes has he thrown to him at this point, even in practice?
I had to look Cager up when that passed sailed over his head. I hadn't even noticed he'd been signed. That's how far down the depth chart the NYG are going for WRs and TEs.
Bellinger was a big loss. He looked like he was going to be a solid TE. The Golladay signing is really hurting them. They paid him #1 receiver money.
One other comment, I was surprised James was still in there for that second fumble. He has muffed a lot of punts.
I don't mind the Giants, but I was really pulling for the Eagles. I like their vibe.
I was very much looking forward to the Giants/Cowboys game - I'm a Giants fan and my daughter's BF is a Cowboys fan. But, alas, it's on Thanksgiving at 4:30 so it's unlikely I'll see much of it.

What, you don't follow the American tradition of pigging out early and then vegging out in front of football?
Blasphemy!

Ha!
We're invited to friends' for the Bird and I don't think dinner will start until 4. And the game starts at 4:30. And these are NOT football people. Maybe I'll sneak away for updates.

Well, I'm still bummed about the Mets elimination and trying to focus on the Giants. After watching the Giants season so far, I am cautiously optimistic. Bring on the Ravens!
