Meet the Mets (For Mets Fans Only!)

If there was ever a game to throw, that was it.  They had zero interest in winning that game and traveling to SD right now.

That makes sense, I also got the impression they were just swinging freely to get it over with quickly.

I will say I’d rather be in San Diego than Milwaukee. But I don’t have to play a ball game tomorrow.

I was disappointed hearing Gary say that's the end of GKR for the year. They are the best.

Aw that’s a good point. It’s now going to be the network announcers.

At least we still have Howie Rose on the radio!  Yesterday he and Keith Raad (I think) were talking about how long they’d been on the road and how it was going to continue. Whether they had enough clean socks. It’s gotta be a tough life in some ways but so exhilarating. Howie is a lifelong Mets guy so the opportunity to travel with them while they go through this incredible final road trip has to be unbelievable.

That was a funny exchange about the socks! He said that he had plenty of socks, just not clean ones!

Hey everyone. They’re playing baseball right now.

It’s a humdinger too.

Severino impressed the hell out of me.  A rough start against a good team and he did not fold.

Yes!  He showed a lot of grit and gave the team 6 solid innings. The bullpen has been working hard lately so it was great not to have to use a lot of pitchers.

Also, I love that they scored 8 runs without any homers. Lots of timely hits and some aggressive base running.

Sean Manaea tonight who’s been consistently good. Frankie Montas for the Brew Crew, maybe their weakest starter.

Great job by Severino. He got a bit unlucky in the first inning. Hopefully Manaea pitches better than he did on Friday. The ESPN guys weren't as good as GKR, but at least it wasn't the Sunday Night crew.

Never can make it easy.

Besides the bullpen issues they left too many guys on early.

This is a tough game so far.

Some sparkling defensive plays on both sides.

So is it that the pitching is so good tonight or are the hitters that bad?

The Mets can't hit anything.  2 hits, both from Lindor.

Every time they show the stands I’m like “it’s just white people in Milwaukee isn’t it?”

Too good to believe.

Ya think Diaz can get three more?

Winker broke his helmet slamming it down. I forgive him.

With a 2-run lead you can put him out there and see what he’s got.

Or not. I guess.

Buckle up!!

Well they will get to play at least one playoff game at Citifield. It would be great if it’s the clincher for the series!

I think they’ll all be happy to get home after the most intense grueling road trip. They’ve been on the road since the 24th.

I won't lie. I was joking with my friends via text in the 8th that the plus side was that I'd get my postseason ticket money back.

What a game. It's been an unbelievable week.

I'm going Tuesday. Bit pricey, but worth it! I was walking along 7th Avenue with my friend after the game and said,"I still can't believe it." A guy walking by overheard me and shouted back,"Unbelievable!"

Anyone gathering at a local watering hole for today's game? I'm actually feeling like an involved fan again. grin
