Define "significant"
Anything 0.01" or over is considered "measurable" and reported (less than that is "trace" if it falls from the sky and "dew" if it manifests as condensation). From a water season perspective, we are missing several inches from summer and fall but anything that can be measured matters.
The rain 9/30 was the end of a multi-day rain period that totaled a bit more than 1/2 inch.
There were three measurable rain periods in August, including two with close to or over 4"
