HEFCU Credit Union, or Greater Alliance, Good or not? Any other credit unions worth looking into?

Is the Healthcare Employees Federal Credit Union good?  Another one we're eligible for is Greater Alliance.

HEFCU apparently allows us to use branches of other credit unions and there are some nearby..  Greater Alliance only has three branches, and all are an hour away from us, though I'm inside a bank less than once a year at this point, so while that might be very inconvenient it isn't a deal breaker if the credit union has enough other benefits to make it worth our while.  Both have no fee ATM's near us.

Any other credit unions we should look into?

After a few decades with Bank of America they have suddenly started charging me $25 a month because I don't have a minimum of $10,000 in my accounts, so it's time to leave.
