My understanding is that they pay for a pile of leads from Angi for jobs that they may or may not get, and then pay a percentage if they get the job. Most established companies will avoid that.

Not that particular company, but I a couple years ago I hired a guy through Angi's List who claimed to be a plumber. As it turned out, he clearly was not. Ask to see a license and references.

Does anyone have an experience using contractors found on Angi.com (formerly Angi's List)? Or has anyone here used DiMichele Electric (of Ringwood, NJ)? While they have good reviews on Angi, they don't seem to have a web site or any reviews on Yelp.
