If anyone would like to donate for a little one please let me know. Every little tiny bit helps.
Thank you !!
I'm happy to say Baby Mittens is doing better. After all the prayer, vet and TLC she will make it. I have to say she is a fighter !!
A big Thank you to bigben!! I really had no idea how to take care of a kitten. It is a lot of work !!! It's like having another baby
And a big thank you for those who wanted to donate for Mittens. It wasn't necessary, but let's just say I twisted some arms to help the little one
Mitten today .. After I fed her
She is a strong kitty, it seems she will make it. Like I said it is a lot of work taking care of a baby kitten but there so cute !!
Awwwwwwww. The level of work will decrease, but I'd recommend talking to BigBen about small kitten's needs beyond the bottle feeding. They need to be kept warm, for one thing, and socialized (although I'm not worried about that in your house!).
Thank you PeggyC, yes bigben have recommended what to feed her after the baby bottle. And later how to start training for litter box, which they learn very quick.
Seriously it is a lot of work. I have to give props to all the kitty rescuers. I have mayor respect for them.
You must have tons of patience and time.
Baby Mitten is lucky she didn't lose her right eye. When I took her to the doctor it was in pretty bad shape and the vet was a bit concerned.
But as you can see in the picture.. Her eyes are healing very well ))
I'm very glad her eyes are doing well and that you have gotten some tutorials from a leading expert on how to care for her. She seems to be on the right path, and she looks bright and perky, which is a good sign. I have never tried to hand rear a kitten that is as small as this little girl, but I know from watching a few other people do it that there is a lot involved. You seem to be getting a good grip on it.
HarleyQuinn is doing a great job. She even gave Mitten a bath! I'm just coaching from the sidelines but Harley's a natural.

Aww thank you
I really can't imagine how our kitty rescuers do when is a big litter ?? Again, big respect for them.
I'm sad to say that my kitty Mittens didn't make it.
She passed away yesterday at the vet office, while the Doctor and I were discussing the alternatives if I didn't want to put her to sleep. Which they insist it was the more humane thing to do. I don't like playing God. And I wanted to keep her alive at any cost.
I really didn't know how super fragile baby kittens can be when they are taking away from there mom at a very early stage. I truly thought she was doing well but she took a turn to the worst 2 times just like that.
Poor kitty had it rough since she was born and I tried to give her a better live surrounded with a family who spoiled and love her dearly.
We buried her in a beautiful place that she will not be alone.
I want to Thank everyone who helped me one way or another. Those who offer to help me pay for the kitty expences and the support I got on this thread.
A big shout out to Bigben for having the patience to answer all of my questions and concerns.
oh HQ, I'm so sorry. I am fostering kittens for a local group and lost one last week. It was devastating. We are moving on, but it has been a hard week. You gave mittens a chance and tried your hardest. How are the kids handling it?

It is devastating and heartbroken. It's incredible how quickly you get attach to them. I question myself if I had done something wrong or differently perhaps she would still be alive. But again, as the vet reassured me when they are away from there mom so small you just never know.
My oldest daughter (5 years old) keep asking when is Mitten coming back. I told her kitty is sick and she is at the vet taken care of. I haven't told her yet kitty has passed away. I'm not sure she will understand.
Heartbreaking
I was rooting for her BIGTIME!
In the short time Baby Mitten was with you she was loved and cared for.
You made her happy.

Hi everyone,
I just took this baby kitten, which I have named her "Mitten" thanks to my daughter.
She was found abandoned with her other siblings who Unfortunely didn't make it. Baby Mitten is the only survivor.
I have an appointment with the vet today and hopefully everything is ok. She might have an eye infection. She is incredibly tiny and skinny. Mitten is only 14 days old
Please send some prayer for her and hopefully she can make it.
Any advice are welcome !!
